When someone asks that question “Tell me about yourself” I used to reply with a list that included: writer, director, producer, content creator, co-founder, and digital artist. I’d often add Emmy award winning and creative collaborator. These days I simplify all of my production and life experiences into the simple statement “I am a Storyteller”
I’ve often been that Storyteller in the room that a nonprofit needed to get their voice heard or that Storyteller in someone’s pocket that encouraged and helped a client overcome a creative obstacle. Many times, I’ve been the Storyteller that account executives have sought after to dream up (and make a reality) a media campaign for their clients. In all of these roles, I’ve come to realize that one thing never changes; the Human Heart. We are all connected by that heart thread of the human experience. It’s in that connection that we share our best stories and our best selves. I love what I do because I love what people can do. My creative door is always open and my table set with a full tea (or coffee) service. So, come on in, have a comfy seat, and let’s chat about what’s possible.
